Norway Provides Funding.

The Norwegian Cooperation Programme is established to stimulate Bulgaria’s social and economic development through projects. Kingdom Norway provides 20 million euro for the aims of the programme. It starts after April 5, 2009. The following sectors are funded: - Reducing the emissions of the greenhouse gases, including projects for mutual implementation of the Project of Kyoto and other emissions in air and water as well; - Energy effectiveness and renewable energy; - Supporting sustainable manufacturing, including certification and monitoring; - Applying the achievements under the Shengen right, supporting the national Shengen plans and the judicial system; Other possibilities are innovations, developing of human resources, network building, building capacity, and transfer of technology and science and research activities. The minimum amount of funding is 60% of the value of the project except for projects funded by state, regional and local authorities when it cannot exceed 85% of the project expenses.
