In 2008 the Bulgarian Government Sold 21 500 Decares along the Bl

Last year marked boom of sales of agricultural plots of land from the State fund along the Black sea coast. The goal of the new owners was to regulate the properties. More than 2000 deals were completed for about 21500 decares which is with 10% more than last year. The information is provided by the System for agro-market information. While the exclusion of such properties from the State fund increases, their prices are dropping. The average price per decare is 12000 leva, which is 55% cheaper than last year. Most sales were completed in Aksakovo and Kavarna where over 16000 decares were sold for 10000 and 18000 leva per decare. In 2008, more than 1.3 million decares from the State fund were sold which is with 19% more than 2007. Despite the world economic crisis, experts do not expect decrease of the number of deals with agricultural properties. Last year the average price for such properties in Bulgaria was 312 leva per decare. For more details, please read “Dnevnik” newspaper.
