Gabrovo Municipal Council approved the Urban development plan for “Uzana” resort on the 25th of June 2009 which is published in the State Gazette on the 21st of July 2009. Gabrovo Municipality works on this plan since the year of 2000. According to it new lifts, power sub-station, waste water purifying plant, new roads, ski slopes, golf course, and other facilities will be constructed in the area. There is a possibility for the existing hotels to increase their capacity and for new ones to be constructed. At present 635 people can be accommodated in the complex. The plan predicts this number to increase to 2036 people.
