Construction of Lyulin Highway will be Monitored Online.
19 km-long Lyulin highway will connect Sofia with the future Strouma highway, which will run from Pernik to Kulata check-point.
The Turkish consortium "Mapa-Chengiz" which is executor of the project will install video cameras along the trace.
This will allow the National Agency "Road Infrastructure" and the European Commission to monitor the construction which is 5-6 months delayed and threatens to fail the completion of the project under ISPA programme.
The highway has to be completed in 2010 and at the moment 25% of it are finished.
The European Commission has not allowed transfers under ISPA programme. 111, 3 million euro are expected to be transferred. The General directorate "Regional development" at the European Commission will held monitoring committee at the Road agency on the 19th and the 20th of January. Its evaluation will influence to great extent the transfer of the European money to Bulgaria.
