Sofia municipal council approved the project for a detailed layout plan - amendment of the regulation of Sofia Airport. The plan refers to the runs, trails and facilities for safety and concerns and restrictive 400-meter area for flight safety. It foresees a new by-pass. street. It is necessary to ensure safe operation of airport navigation systems in category III A in conditions of low visibility. The preparation of the project is assigned last year after a request from the Ministry of Transport. It is developed as a draft project now. Its author is the municipal company "Sofia project. The new road starts from the existing "Mestnost Nova Mahala" Str.( the present asphalt road from the village of Krivina to "Vrazhdebna") until it connects with the juncture at the ring-road. Then the route continues approximately 600 meters in to the ring-road overpass and from the second juncture it merges with the existing "Mestnost Nova Mahala" Str. which connects the village of Krivina and "Vrazhdebna" quarter. Concrete pavement slabs will be placed on the left side of the new lanes in both directions. The predicted 1,5 meters wide lay-by is with 20 centimeters thick ballast and lined drainage ditches to the high ground of concrete slabs. Leading concrete strips will be placed along the main route. The municipal council will notify the interested persons under art.130 Spatial development act. They may appealed in front of the Administrative court in Kremikovtsi district within 14 days.
